Kristina Piskova Crowned Miss World 2023 in Mumbai
We are thrilled to announce that Kristina Piskova from the Czech Republic has won the 71st Miss World competition, held in Mumbai, India. At 24 years old, Piskova has made history by becoming the second representative from the Czech Republic to win the Miss World title. The first was Tatiana Kucharova, who won in 2006.
The first runner-up was Yasmina Zaitun from Lebanon. Piskova’s victory marks a significant milestone for her country, following a notable win by Polish contestant Karolina Bielawska in 2021. (The 2022 event was canceled due to scheduling conflicts with the previous year’s competition.)
According to the pageant’s official website, Kristina Piskova is a student, volunteer, and international model. She has completed degrees in law and business administration and is proficient in English, Polish, Slovak, and German. Piskova has founded a foundation aimed at sustainable development through education and is reported to have established an English language school for underprivileged children in Tanzania. Additionally, she plays the flute and violin.
